I started almost accidently into this field when I took a tax preparation class in the fall of 1978 to make sure I was preparing my husband’s business taxes properly (he was in the logging business at the time). Upon completion of the class, I was offered employment in the tax preparation field and found that I thoroughly enjoyed working with the clients and meeting the challenges of different tax situations. I have prepared taxes ever since. In recent years I have taken additional education and have become an Enrolled Agent so that I can better serve my clients in every situation. Each year I am required to complete 30 hours of continuing education credits. I look forward to learning what’s new and how I can better serve my clients.
When I am not preparing tax returns or performing other bookkeeping duties, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, gardening, and serving my community in some way. I am on the board of Tomah Area Cancer Support, Inc., helping to raise funds to help local people struggling with cancer and the financial stress that it causes. I also serve on the board of the Warrens Area Business Association, promoting business growth in the Warrens area. I am an active member of Grace Bible Church where my husband serves as Pastor.
